Ideas taken from Viator's Helsinki listings, then priced at the direct source: HSL public transport, the museum or sauna's own site, the ferry company. No tour agency in between. Each person picks their own; compare to find what you both want.
For a short nature-and-culture trip that avoids tourist traps. Tap a name to jump to it. Crossed out = closed in November.
Airport to hotel. I or P train from under the terminal to Central Station (30 min, every ~10 min), then metro 2 stops to Ruoholahti and a 5–7 min walk. One ABC ticket each: €4.50 in the HSL app. Bus 600 is the same price. Taxi about €40–60, Uber/Bolt about €30–45 (unverified).
Tickets. Buy in the HSL app. Singles: AB €3.30, ABC €4.50. Day tickets AB 1/2/3/4 days €10.60/15.90/21.20/26.50; ABC €12.80/19.20/25.60/32.00 (2–4 day prices from one 2026 source). Your stay is 3 nights, about 75 hours from landing to leaving for the airport, so the cheapest is a 3-day (72 h) ticket plus one single: with Nuuksio, an ABC 3-day ticket activated at the airport on Friday (valid until Monday about 15:00) and an ABC single to the airport on Monday, €30.10 each; without Nuuksio, an ABC single in, an AB 3-day ticket, and an ABC single out, €30.20 each. A 4-day ABC ticket (€32) is the no-thinking option.
Monday. Check out by 12:00, leave bags at reception for free, spend the day light, collect bags about 17:30. Many museums, Kotiharju, Kulttuurisauna, Uspenski and Haltia are closed on Mondays; Allas is cheaper.
Money. Cards everywhere, some places card only. No tipping expected. Coffee €3.50–5, weekday lunch buffet €12–16 (weekdays only, so Friday or Monday), beer €7–10.
Saunas. Löyly and Allas are mixed with swimsuits. Kotiharju is single-sex and nude. Sompasauna is clothing optional. Book Löyly for Friday or Saturday.
Free on your arrival day. Kiasma is free on the first Friday of the month: Fri 6 Nov, open until 20:00.
